Is it wrong that an Israeli newspaper printed Obama's prayer?

An Israeli newspaper printed Obama's prayer that he placed in the Western Wall. Does anyone else find that offensive? Isn't that a violation of his privacy?

Public Comments

  1. YES YES YES Shame on them
  2. it was a publicity stunt to show that Obama is a good religious guy
  3. no
  4. No, that what they do. Its a tradition.
  5. Yes, they should not have published it no more than they should published anyone's prayer to God. It is definitely aviolation of his privacy
  6. It is offensive and it is a violation of Obama's privacy.
  7. Yes. Yes. Yes. Someone was trying to make some money.
  8. I assure you that Obama knew this would happen. He planed it. All Jews and Christians should SEE right through this little stunt. I do.
  9. Maybe, but funny none the less.
  10. it was done for political reasons , Obama knew it would be , thats why he did it . He is all about the appearence . He still is trying to push his own agenda and make simple minded people fall for his lie's. Seems its working in the simple minded in the U.S. thus far
  11. yes. Those notes are not supposed to be removed and it is horrible that a student. ( who knows better) would even be soo nosy to take it out. The Newspaper in Israel should never have printed it.
  12. It is absurd to think that someone has a right to privacy regarding a note that was left in a public wall (yes i know its the western wall, i have been there). Do graffiti artists have a right to privacy, does the guy who left the pizza flyer on my doorknob have a right to privacy?
  13. Peace be upon you! I think it was an encroachment on his privacy, but when you are a public figure, who has privacy? Even your talks with God become public. -- Muslim who believes in the Mahdi
  14. News Papers no matter where is in the business of printing news. Its their employment whether right or wrong to print. Even when the news is offensive we still read them don't we. So I say, if you don't want your privacy violated, don't speak or write it down and it won't be made known publicly. Then the prayer will be only between God and man. There is nothing wrong though to write ones prayer down. It will help others to know how to, or, what to pray for. Only Obama can say if he feels his privacy was violated. His prayer was in sincerity to God and right on.
  15. yes it's unethical.
  16. Yes and Yes. I find it particularly offensive since the "theif" was a seminarian whose morals, obviously, rank with those of a slug. As to the anti-Obama bigots who claim it was all a scam...I would ask what was in the note that would have made one whit of difference to the world's perception of Obama??? He has already demonstrated that he is a practicing Christian with a reliance on his god. He has already been 'lionized' by Europe and much of America. So what more could he possibly gain by asking his god to protect him and his family????? GET A LIFE, people, and start getting used to the idea of our first "black" President. After eight years of the sanctimonious, little hypocritic, George Dumbya Bush, it will be refreshing to have a REAL believer in the White House.
  17. Do you really think for one moment he was not counting on that? If not, why else would he make sure all the cameras were rolling to show just where he placed it? Everything he has done is for show to show how great he is, like he is the Messiah the Jews have been waiting for. Sadly, they may well be deceived and we could be in for an OBAMA NATION. I never thought I would see the day that I would fear someone other then another Clinton would be elected..but that day has come! My only wish right now is that we had a "None of the above" slot on our ballot to tell them to go find someone else to run for this office.
  18. The Israeli newspaper was only following orders from Obama's marketing team. I wonder how much they had to pay the newspaper to go along with the charade.
